Raksha Bandhan is just around the corner. The best time for every brother-sister duo. We all of course have had beautiful memories with this heart-warming festival and continue to do so. It is that promise which every brother, younger or older makes to his sister to protect her from everything and the sister in return promises to look after him always.

Rakhi is that time of the year when the entire family comes under one roof from the maternal and paternal side. We see the bhai-behen duo from the entire family be it our mother tying a rakhi to her brothers, our dads getting the “raksha band” tied by his sisters or various other relatives, everyone is in an extremely joyous and fun mood.

Apart from it being such an emotional festival, it brings a lot of excitement as well. We all know the drill, right? Be it purchasing and choosing gifts for one another, getting loads of chocolates and sweets or just dressing up for the event, this festive period brings in a lot of excitement too.

Our Bollywood celebrities are always on the frontrunner when it comes to dressing up pretty. Ethnicwear is something that we have seen them wear pretty often and now joining the bandwagon is the “Indo-Western” look that we see our stars sporting pretty often.

Listed below are some Bollywood inspired outfit ideas which are sure to glam up your Raksha Bandhan event.

Yellow power!

Trust Deepika Padukone to always pamper us with style inspiration. This Rakhi go all retro and opt for a bit of jazz. Yellow is trending big and is also considered auspicious in Hinduism. Opt for a pop of colour with some funky statement jewellery and be all set for the fesitivities.

Yellow affair continues..

If you're not in the mood to dress up and want to go easy then we suggest you take some cue from Janhvi Kapoor. Opt fot a breezy floral maxi dress which is light and easy on the body too and flaunt it to the fullest.

Sharara effect!

The biggest trend this season has to be the sharara! Pick a stunning piece in a pop of colour and make heads turn with statement jhumkis.

Go all desi and sexy!

Minimalism makes the most impact. Opt for a stunning floor length kurta with heavy embroidery work on it. Style it with a sleek bun and statement beckpiece to elevate the look.

Believe in co-ord sets

Another huge trend this season, the co-ord set is both bod, sexy and extremely stunning. Opt for something in indigo or rustic hues and style them with silver oxidized jewellery to add that punch.

Saree affair..

A printed saree can never run out of fashion. Add in a bit of glamour with a broad belt and a 60s inspired hair pleats. We suggest you keep the makeup to a minimal to avoid addition of any more jazz.

Pink flavour!

Giving your regular sharara that much needed twist is our very own Kabir Singh actress Kiara Advani. Make it look a little more modern and sexy by teaming it up with a blouse or a crop top with a hint of desi flavour with a soft pastel hue.

With so many options to choose from we are sure that picking an outfit for Rakhi will become much more easier. Whose look did you like the most or relate with the best? Comment below and let us know.
