Diwali is definitely the best time of the year. It brings in joy, togetherness, happiness and is all about love. Apart from spreading smiles, it is also about greeting and meeting one another and yes, lots of dressing up too. Bollywood as usual was on top of their game with the big wheels throwing parties and the who's who attend them too. From Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan to Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli to Sonam K Ahuja and Anand Ahuja to Katrina Kaif, Ananya Panday, to name a few, are stars who turned up looking their stunning best.

Kareena Kapoor Khan

Trust Kareena Kapoor Khan to always look her stunning best no matter what the occassion. The diva looked gorgeous in a cotton lehenga by Good Earth. Her look included a cropped black blouse knotted in the front paired with a high waisted crushed cotton lehenga skirt. She styled her look with a contrasting deep green crushed dupatta. Brushed open hair with filled in brows, a jadau choker, dangler earrings and a fresh face of makeup completed her absolutely stunning look.

Anushka Sharma

Anushka Sharma hit the ball straight out of the park with her gorgeous Sabyasachi look. Anushka looked beautiful in a black floral blouse with a deep V plunging neckline which she teamed up with a high waisted multi coloured lehenga with a broad and thick border. She styled her look with a sheer black dupatta, heavy chunky neck piece, heavy smokey eyes and a messy ponytail. Pure love!

Priyanka Chopra Jonas

Our desi girl Priyanka Chopra Jonas makes sure that she follows her traditions, no matter where she is. Priyanka being the true blue Sabyasachi loyalist opted for yet another number from the talented designer. Chopra Jonas opted for a champagne hued floral saree which she teamed up with a satin blouse. Messy low hair bun with heavy chandbalis and a deep lip completed her look. We like!

Katrina Kaif

Katrina Kaif also attended a Diwali party in town. Kaif looked incredible in a bold red ensemble. She opted for a short cropped full sleeves blouse with a matching lehenga with a broad golden border. She styled her look with a matching dupatta, side parted poker straight hair, red bindi, light smokey eyes, golden earrings and a red lip. Pretty we must say!

Sonam K Ahuja

Sonam K Ahuja also marked her presence at her father, Anil Kapoor’s Diwali bash with her husband, Anand Ahuja. Sonam opted for a white ensemble with a cape with elaborate paisley motif work on it. She styled her look with a heavy maatha-patti, layered jadau jewellery, a golden bag, deep lips and light smokey eyes. We think that the jewellery was a bit too much and there was just a lot happening in the look.

Janhvi Kapoor

Janhvi Kapoor was in attendance at the Diwali bash too. Janvi opted for a heavily embellished silver blouse which she paired with a golden high waisted lehenga skirt a matching dupatta. She styled her look with cascading curls, filled in brows and plum lips. Honestly, we felt that she could have done a lot more. The entire look just looked extremely dated.

Ananya Panday

Ananya Panday was in the mood for some neon. The young student opted for a neon green bralette like blouse which she teamed up with a high waisted lehenga skirt and a matching dupatta. A small maang tika with dewy skin makeup and brushed open hair completed her look.

Tara Sutaria

Tara Sutaria marked her presence too. Tara jumped onto the sequin saree bandwagon as she opted for a heavily sequin silver grey saree which she paired with a satin silver blouse. Silver clutch, strings of necklace, poker straight and a face of makeup completed her look. While we love the saree and the blouse, the makeup looked a bit overdone.

Karisma Kapoor

Karisma Kapoor was another celebrity who was clad in Sabyasachi. The gorgeous actress opted for a deep red saree with a broad border which she teamed up with a high neck, half sleeves blouse with golden work on it. Center parted sleek hair with filled in brows, a small red bindi, light smokey eyes, jhumkis and soft pink lips finished off her stunning look.

Shraddha Kapoor

Shraddha Kapoor went all traditional with her look this year. The diva opted for a heavy purple silk saree with a green and red border. She teamed her saree with a green 3/4th sleeves blouse, a sleek hairdo decorated with gajras, black small bindi, smokey eyes and golden jewellery! Truly beautiful.

Sara Ali Khan

Sara Ali Khan celebrated Diwali with her mother Amrita Singh and brother Ibhrahim Ali Khan. The newbie actress looked very pretty in a red batwing sleeve, cropped fit and flared kurta with extensive work on it in gold and matching red leggings. She styled her look with brushed open hair, black bindi, chandbalis, red bangles and golden juttis. Love the look.

Kriti Sanon

Kriti Sanon is next on our list. The Luka Chuppi actress opted for a golden metallic and brown saree which she paired with a golden metallic blouse. She styled the heavily embellished saree with jadau chandbalis, center parted hairdo, filled in brows, pink cheeks and soft lips. While she does look pretty, we are not really a fan of her saree.

Mira Rajput

Mira Rajput looked extremely smashing as she donned an ice blue ruffled frilled saree which she paired with a heavily embellished matching blouse with a plunging neckline. She styled her look with poker straight hair, filled in brows, diamond studded earrings and a clutch. We love the choice of saree and her subtle hair and makeup.

Kiara Advani

Kabir Singh actress Kiara Advani marked her presence too. She chose a golden bralette blouse with a deep V neckline and paired it with an orange and red hued lehenga and a matching orange dupatta. Silver jadau earrings with brushed open hair with heavy curls, rosy cheeks and a pink nude lip completed her look.

Sonakshi Sinha

Sonakshi Sinha was also dressed to the T. The Lootera actress opted for a monotone midnight blue outfit. Her look included a sequin strappy blouse with a heavily embellished sequin lehenga and a matching sheer dupatta. She styled her look with brushed open hair, smokey eyes, pink lips and chunky earrings.
