Kareena Kapoor Khan, Katrina Kaif: Best and Worst dressed at Deepika Padukone Ranveer Singh’s Bollywood Bash
Last night, newly weds Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh threw a party for all their Bollywood friends and the who's who of B'Town marked their presence at the bash. Everyone, from Kareena Kapoor Khan to Shah Rukh Khan to Katrina Kaif to Anushka Sharma, to name a few, were present at the bash. Our stars turned up putting their best foot forward giving us the best and worst dressed from the Bollywood party held last night.
Over the past two weeks, we have seen her do multiple Indian looks, so it was breath of fresh air as she donned a gown for this reception as the dress code was black tie. Deepika opted for a red high-low custom made Zuhair Murad gown for her reception. The heavily embellished gown featured a thigh high slit, plunging neckline, a sweeping train and was cinched at the waist with a matching red band. She styled her look with red ankle straps, smokey eyes, hair worn in cascading curls and a nude lip and we are just blown away!
Ranveer Singh complimented his wife beautifully. The dapper star opted for a three piece suit by design duo Rohit Gandhi and Rahul Khanna and the newly weds together looked absolutely sizzling.
Kareena Kapoor Khan
The Begum of Bollywood, Kareena Kapoor Khan always impresses. Kareena chose a deep emerald green heavily sequined dress by Alexander Terekhov. Her outfit featured a low back and a halter neckline. We love the fact that she has kept the styling understated and minimal with her defined eyes, a nude lip and brushed open hair.
Anushka Sharma also came into congratulate the happy couple. Sharma, opted for a pastel purple Falguni and Shane Peacock number. The high neck dress was heavily embellished with full sleeves and feather details on the sleeves and on the bottom of the dress. Pulled back hair in a sleek ponytail with her signature no makeup makeup look and silver dangler finished off her look. The whole put together looks slightly imbalanced, also, she should have just gotten rid of those dangler earrings.
Katrina Kaif also walked in to congratulate the newly weds. The beauty looked sweet in a champagne hued saree. We love the simplicity of the look. She styled her saree with dangler earrings, side parted open hair, pink cheeks and a nude lips.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan also marked her presence at the Bollywood night. She chose a silver metallic outfit by design duo, Falguni and Shane Peacock. Blow dried open hair with a nude face of makeup finished off her look. Yes, she does look pretty but the look lacks some punch.
Sara Ali Khan
Sara Ali khan also marked her attendance. The young actress opted for an Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla number. The soft golden outfit featured a high neck, cuff sleeves and strings of tassel on the hem of the dress. Simple hair with a glossy lip, filled in brows and complimenting heels finished off minimal and beautiful look.
Dhadak actor, Janhvi Kapoor walked in wearing a yellow saree by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla. The saree was teamed with a silver heavily embellished sleeveless blouse, a silver maang-tika and dangler earrings. Janhvi does look pretty but the entire look put together just doesn’t work well.
Sonakshi Sinha has been killing it with her looks off late. Sinha opted for a rusted golden, bodycon sequin floor length dress by Yousef Al Jasmi. The outfit with a thigh high slit complimented her beautifully and she styled it with metallic strappy heels, a no makeup makeup and open blow dried hair. We love!
Disha Patani chose a Maison Yeya pastel grey number for the big night. The body hugging number with a deep plunging neckline looks a little off on her. Smokey eyes, pink lips, silver necklace and side parted open hair rounded off her look.
To be debutante Ananya Panday looked cute in a pastel peach strapless ballroom gown with beaded work all over it. The Reem Acra creation was beautifully paired with golden strappy heels, a pink undertone makeup and open hair.
Jacqueline Fernandez also graced the event wearing a golden Tarun Tahiliani saree. It was teamed with a sheer cap sleeves blouse with a high neck. She styled her look with centre parted pulled back hair, silver drop earrings and a bright red lip. The whole look felt a little too dated and made her look slightly older.
Shilpa Shetty Kundra
Shilpa Shetty Kundra looked smoking hot in a one-shoulder golden metallic dress with a thigh high slit by Reem Acra. Shilpa kept it simple with golden heels, side parted open hair, smokey eyes and a nude lip.
Malaika Arora was in attendance too. She wore an electric midnight blue creation by Amit Aggarwal. Open hair with filled in brows and a dark lip rounded off her look. The dress just didn't compliment her frame and we wish that she should have opted for something different.
Rani Mukherjee was also at the party. She chose to wear a black saree with a black and brown printed blouse by Sabyasachi. A beaded clutch with dangler earrings, open hair and nude makeup finished off her look. We wish that she should have done something different with her hair and makeup.
Yami Gautam walked in wearing a golden sequined dress by Monisha Jaising. The tiered outfit worked really well with her side parted styled blob, golden dangler earrings and a glossy lip.
Kriti Sanon looked beautiful in a soft pink strapless gown by Monisha Jaising. The outfit featured heavy sequin work on it with a short train. She styled her dress with open hair, minimal makeup and metallic shoulder dusters.
Vaani Kapoor walked in wearing a pastel pink satin saree teamed with an off-white beaded blouse. The whole outfit put together just didn’t go well and her hair and makeup further added to the overall disaster.
Nimrat Kaur painted a pretty picture in a floral printed Tarun Tahiliani saree gown featuring a sweetheart neckline. Hair tied in a low bun with a heavy neckpiece and simple makeup added finishing touches to her minimal yet elegant look.
Aditi Rao Hydari
Aditi Rao Hydari was at the party too. The actress opted for a red and pink Anushree Reddy number. Sleek hair, filled in brows and a red lip finished off her look. The outfit didn't fit the actress too well nor did it flatter her frame.
The evergreen Madhuri Dixit radiated in a pastel green lace saree with a complimenting full sleeves sheer blouse. The diva styled her look with a low bun, dangler earrings and a glossy lip.
Preity Zinta walked in with her better half to congratulate the newly wed. The actress opted for a one shoulder red down. Although the actress does look good with her blow dired open hair and silver dangler earrings, the sequin work on her outfit looks quite weird.
Vidya Balan walked in with her husband, Siddharth Roy Kapoor for the reception party. Vidya opted for a black crop top and lehenga skirt teamed with a silver metallic dupatta. Side parted hair, with drop earrings and a potli bag rounded off her so-so look.
Radhika Apte was at the bash too. She wore a plain black satin saree which she teamed with a heavily sequin black blouse. A grey clutch with a side parted sleek low hair bun and a bold red lip rounded off her look.
Athiya Shetty was also at the party. She looked gorgeous in a black strapless gown with black floral applique work on it. She styled her gown elegantly with a centre parted low bun, stud earrings and a fresh face of makeup.
Diana Penty was in attendance as well. She opted for a brown and white printed co-ord set featuring a cold shoulder crop top and a high waisted ruffled lehenga set by Gaurav Gupta. Simple hair and makeup rounded her look out. Honestly that outfit just doesn’t work for us.
Shah Rukh Khan, Varun Dhawan, Vicky Kaushal, Siddharth Malhotra, Ishaan Khatter, were also present at the party and looked absolutely handsome.
