Fashion is cyclic and we’re all extremely well-versed with it. Like many say and is already proved, “Change is the only constant” and it fits in perfectly in terms of fashion. From denim on denim to the mighty crop tops, the chic boot-cut jeans, 2019 has redefined its style seeking inspiration from the saucy retro times, more so, the 90s. There is something really exquisite about this decade. It was the time which tbh, gave a new face to fashion.

In true 90s style there’s one more trend which has jumped the bandwagon and has joined its counterparts. We’re talking about one accessory which has become a major “must have” in all of our wardrobes while growing up, the headband. The Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, sure has taken a fancy to this trend is also instrumental in bringing it back. The mother of three is often seen sporting this at various occasions but in true royal style, with a twist.

Comfort has definitely preceded a lot of components when it comes to setting out a new trend in today’s age. Our throwback headbands have been revived with a 2019 edition. The accessory now comes in a bulkier form with a lot of padding. Yes, padded headband is definitely the new cool. We saw major fashion houses taking this add-on onto the runway. Prada’s Spring Summer 2019 show saw a lot of versions of the same.

Kate Middleton was seen sporting this chic trend at Prince Louis’s christening as well. She replaced the classic fascinator with a cream beige padded headband with elegant surface ornamentation on it from Jane Taylor. You can also opt for a simpler version of it with a satin or velvet base.

Channel your inner Blair Waldorf and paint the town red with your sassy headpiece.
