Kendall Jenner just brought back the corset dress from, um, 16th century

In case you’re thinking of purchasing it, it’s sold out.

When it comes to members of the Kar-Jenner clan, each has their own idiosyncratic style which the fashion-forward, trend-alert cohort just can’t seem to eschew (I, for example). Kim practically invented the bra-top trend when she wore a bandeau against a Balmain skirt and posed alongside Olivier Rousteing. And Kylie? Have I not waxed poetic enough about how she is so super slick (pun intended) at pulling off those latex dresses?

And even though I really love their sartorial styles, I must admit, I can seldom (read: never) step out in what either one of them usually wear. Case in point - Kylie’s Fendi monogram super short dress.

Kendall, on the other hand, seems more relatable. Her clothes serve a purpose in the real world and are chic at the same time. And like the the people she shares her genes with, she, too, has a few trends you we’re still due thanking her for. Thigh high boots - her. Making biker shorts a street style mainstay - Yep. That, too. And how can you possibly forget about her contribution to athleisure, no?

And while most of us haven’t even mastered these styles yet, Kendall was seen rocking a very Renaissance-inspired mini dress that’s on its way to becoming your newest wardrobe staple.

Kendall wore a Philosophy Di Lorenzo Serafini corset-style dress with leg-of-mutton sleeves and a scooped neckline which almost reminded me of Keira Knightley from Pirates of the Caribbean. Except, Kendall looked nothing like someone gasping for air.

Lucky for 2000s, Matrix met her midway and made a contribution in the form of tiny sunglasses and white personality heeled shoes.

Although I never thought I’d use the adjective, romantic, to ever describe Kendall, she looked every bit that.

P.S.: in case you’re thinking of purchasing her blue dress, it’s sold out. Oops!
