Kim Kardashian has finally revealed details about her latest project, and this time it has nothing to do with skincare or beauty! the reality television star launched a line of shapewear for women, that she is calling Kimono. The beauty mogul revealed that she has been working passionately on the project for the last year and is super pumped at its launch.

On her Instagram, the lawyer-to-be revealed that this collection is her take on shapewear for women that actually works and has been passionate about this for 15 years! "I would  always cut up my shapewear to make my own styles, and there have also been so many times I couldn’t find a shapeware color that blended with my skin tone so we needed a solution for all of this," she captioned her Instagram post and went on to add that this style that she developed was for all those times when she wanted to wear skirts or a dress with a slit and still needed the support. The range will be available in sizes from XXS to 4XL in 9 different shades!

The third pic is the solution short. I developed this style for all of those times I wanted to wear a dress or skirt with a slit and still needed the support. Introducing Kimono Solutionwear™ for every body. Coming Soon in sizes XXS - 4XL in 9 shades. I can’t wait for you to feel this fabric!#KimonoBody @kimono Photos by Vanessa Beecroft

While Kim is celebrating her launch, the Japanese on social media have said that her clothing disrespects their traditional clothing. Kimono, is a loose, long-sleeved robe which is typically tied with a sash and dates back to 15th century in the country and is considered as the national dress of Japan which is worn during special occasions.

"I feel very sad that the name 'Kimono' is being used to something completely different from what we Japanese know about it," one user said.

"Wow, @kimkardashian Thanks for BUTCHERING Japanese culture! My culture is not your playing. You don't have any respect for people who are not your family, do you?" another user posted.

"Don't steal our culture, #KimOhNo" was another comment.

Some others are worried that people might begin to associate the Kimono with Kim Kardashian instead of Japanese culture. Last year, Kim trademarked the Kimono brand in the US. 'Kimono body', 'Kimono intimates' and 'Kimono world' were other trademarks she filed for.
