The large scale fashion event which took place in the due course of five days saw the biggest names of Bollywood walk the runway for the biggest designers.

It was a week of all things fashion - glitz, glamour, grandeur and an array of different trends at the Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2019. Celebrations were taken a notch higher with the biggest faces of Bollywood acting as showstoppers for designers who showcased their latest collection on the runway. Romancing the festive mood were a range of outfits which could be taken from work to party, cocktail outfits and garments that could be worn to look like the ultimate fashionista at wedding and events!

The grand event opened with designer Manish Malhotra showcasing his latest collection which broke away from the traditional warmer red and orange hues and paved way for a fresh palette of pastels, whites and blacks. The showtopper for the evening was Katrina Kaif who looked sensational in a velvet emerald green lehenga which featured an exaggerated blouse with loads of gold embellishments. 

Shibani Dandekar and Farhan Akhtar looked stylish as they coordinated outfits on the ramp to celebrate Payal Singhal's 20th anniversary. The duo looked splendid in the deisgner's creations that were inspired by the colours of the Turkish and Moroccan bazaars with outfits featuring colourful tassles, patwork, pompoms and more fun elements!

Lisa Haydon walked for desinger Amit Aggarwal and closed the show for the designer along with cricketer Hardik Pandya. They sizzled in outfits made from brilliant  vibrant colours and shades. 

Athiya Shetty closed the show for Abraham & Thakore in a monochrome striped saree with ruffles around its hem. 

Pooja Hegde glided the runway for Jayanti Reddy in a heavy embellished purple lehenga with a scalloped hem and dupatta. A large emerald neckpiece made for her statement accessory and completed her look. 

Diana Penty stole the show as she walked in an intricately embroidered ivory sequin lehenga which ensured she looked like a queen in an outfit by Ridhi Mehra. A large emerald studded neckpiece and a matching bracelet completed her look. 

Tara Sutaria made her runway debut as she walked for Label Ritu Kumar in a black embroidered halter mini pinafore over a white shirt. A leather belt with long beaded strands and thigh-high boots complete her look. 

Rakul Preet Singh was a treat to the eyes as she walked for Nachiket Barve in a glittering black jumpsuit under a long net robe with long fringed sleeves. Large silver hoop earrings completed her look. 

Ananya Panday also made her runway debut as she decked up as the ultimate blockbuster bride for designers Anushree Reddy and Arpita Mehta. Dressed in a head-to-toe gold outfit by Anushree Reddy, with intricate embroidery and embellishments with a large gold neckpiece. She switched it up with a stunning pink outfit with floral work on it by Arpita Mehta and aced her runway debut. 

Arjun Kapoor closed Kunal Rawal's show at the event in in a textured and well cut outfit. Arjun's cousin - Jahaan Kapoor who is Sanjay Kapoor's son also walked the ramp for the first time for the designer, looking dapper as ever!

Disha Patani and Ayushmann Khurrana closed the event for the day wearing outfits by designer duo Rohit Gandhi and Rahul Khanna. While Disha donned an ultra-glamorous glittery grey cocktail dress with a thigh-high slit, Khurranna opted for basic black pants and shirt that he topped over with a long embellished coat. 

Malaika Arora who is not new to the runway, graced the ramp in a fitted choli, with a plunging neckline and layered, fan sleeves with a slinky rose embroidered marsala hued high slit long skirt. She walked for designer Diya Rajvvir and looked sensational on the tamp. 

Kangana Ranaut exuded glam and gracefulness on the ramp in a powder blue lehenga with silver work and a stunning matching choli with a one-sided matching drape. The actress looked no less than a princess for designer Disha Patil at the event. 

Shilpa Shetty Kundra made a sizzling entrance as she sashayed down the runway in a shimmery lehenga with dazzling mirror detailed halter choli. She accessorised the look with giant latkans and a potli bag for designer Punit Balana at the event. 

Genelia Deshmukh looked eye-pleasing as she turned showstopper for Saroj Jalan in a gorgeous lehenga with modern elements and large lapels. Her kohl-lined eyes and pink lips combination with tousled hair ensured she had all eyes on her. 

Soha Ali Khan turned a lot of heads as she stole the show, looking like the epitome of beauty and grace, in a pistachio green lehenga by Kavita Agarwal. 

The Begum of Bollywood, Kareena Kapoor Khan closed the grand event and made it memorable by sashaying the runway in a stunning black strapless dress with light layers and a small train by Gauri & Nainika. She opted for a bold berry hued pout while her hair was slicked back making for the perfect wet-hairdo. 

Mrunal Thakur, Esha Gupta, Esha Deol and her adorable daughter, Diva Dhawan, Urvashi Rautela and Genelia Deshmukh also aced the showstopper look at the glamorous event that was.
