The fashion industry is one tricky place. Herein there is nothing that belongs to yourself, not even your body. Minimal clothing and nudity are things that you sign up off, or rather have to sign up for if you want to sustain and make it big in this big bad glamour World.

As a fashion model, you’re more or less treated as a prop and are subject to open objectification both on and off record. However, the Council of Fashion Designers of America in partnership with Model Alliance announced just two days ahead of the New York Fashion Week that models will have their own private area to change.

This is the first time that this step has been taken. Usually at NYFW, the backstage is buzzing with press, show coordinators, photographers, PR’s and more and models would ave to simply strip down and put on the next outfit infront of everyone as if it wasnt a big deal.

Sara Ziff, founder of Model Alliance in a statement, said, “Models have raised concerns about invasive photography and lack of privacy while changing clothes backstage at New York Fashion Week. The Model Alliance takes these concerns seriously, and we decided to take additional steps this season to ensure a safe and respectful work environment by providing private changing areas backstage."

It is overwhelming to see the fashion industry come together to fight sexual harassment. CFDA chairperson Diane von Furstenberg in an open letter wrote, “The current climate has been marked by brave women and men and their revelations about an unacceptable culture in politics, sports, and entertainment, as well as in fashion."

PC rocking it. Catch her front-row IMG Model-Ness, Empress Chopra at NY Fashion Week. Pics are coming out, she looks aiyiyi, this time don't think it was CE who styled her, whoa color, red/orange, burn siena like, Bottega Veneta. See. Paris has the creds but Italy has the SWAG.

It's about time.
