Neon green has a controversial past. Despite that, it has become the reigning colour this season The colour has found a way to let go of its tacky image and become a colour that A-listers and fashionistas like Sonam Kapoor and Deepika Padukone sport in Bollywood, to Kylie and Kendall Jenner donning it in the west. The slime green colour seems to be part of every celebrities wardrobe but with a more sophesticated touch.

Styling the colour looks so easy on Instagram but can get a little tricky if overdone. But mastering neon is not as simple as it seems. Let your favourite celebrities give you inspiration on how to wear the season's biggest trend.

One of the first in Bollywood to sport the colour in true fashionista sense, was Sonam Kapoor. She opted for an in-your-face look and confidently championed the lime green shade to incorporate it with powder pink so it wasn't too overwhelming. We love how the neon gown with a plunging neckline fit her frame and made for a bold look.

Following suit, Deepika Padukone also proved that she could carry off the blinding green colour by sporting it on international waters! Padukone looked like a tulle wonder on the Cannes red carpet in a flaming neon green Giambattistavalli number that will go down in the books.

At the event, she sported the colour in a miniature sense with a small neon green lace patch on her all black tulle dress by Off White.

Her third look was at the airport where Mrs. Padukone picked a neon co-ord set by Off White. She styled the neon green pants with a white tank and an oversized neon green trench coat.

Adding a flash of neon to her regular look, was Kiara Advani. She picked out a neon blouse by Atsu Sekhose and paired it with brown cigarette pants to tone down the the look but also give a nod to the trend.

Striving for a bold look, Malaika Arora left no stone unturned. The diva picked out a bold neon suit that featured flared pants and a plunging neckline. She took things a notch higher by pairing flaming pink neon stilettos with her suit to complete her head-to-toe neon look.

A new trend seems incomplete without the Jenners being part of it. Kylie Jenner who is a fan of muted tones kept it low key by picking a neon bikini.

For her second look, she paired neon stilettos with an all-white outfit.

Kendall Jenner too joined the bandwagon by picking a small flashy neon top and paired it with leather pants.

If you thought the colour was outlandish, the Queen of England is here to prove you wrong. Queen Elizabeth too got on board with the colour and shows us how to look elegant by picking out a neon green trenchcoat and a matching hat.

Proving that bright and flashy colours are not just for girls, Ranveer Singh also sported a neon suit and still managed to look dapper and bold as always!

Shahid Kapoor also got on board but didn't go overboard with the trend. He opted for a neon pocket patch that looked super trendy and casual with the rest of his all-white outfit.
