Since its the wedding season, most of us can pick from either lehengas, anarkalis or sarees. With the large influx of lehengas, we think that sarees are totally going to rock this wedding season. But are you tired of draping those nine yards in the same old way with the pleated skirt and pallu? Don't worry, we aren't going to suggest opting for the Gujarati or Bengali styles because we know that they too have been done to death.

Instead, how about we take a cue from our hottest B-town celebs on how to switch it up and sport the saree in several stylish but different ways!

With pants

This seems to be all the rage this season with the gorgeous Sonakshi Sinha and even Sara Ali Khan opting for it on various occasions. The idea is to wear pants of the matching shade, instead of the skirt. Skip the step of wrapping the material and directly make pleats and tuck them into the pants. Go about draping the pallu the same way. Voila! You are the next new fashionista in town!

The 90s style

Remember how everybody in the late 90s and early 2000s was obsessed with their dupatta or pallu being tied on their wrist? Time to bring that back since it seems to be back in Vogue! Drape your saree the same way, but attach the end of the pallu to your right wrist. This way, you won't need to keep pulling it back to your waist as well!

Saree gown

Get rid of the fear of tripping over your saree and it coming undone, all at once! Opt for this one-piece gown that imitates a saree and looks just as stunning.

Over the shoulder

Instead of draping the pallu over the left shoulder, let it hang casually over your right one instead! This way, you will get to show off your toned stomach, the way Janhvi Kapoor does, which looks like an excellent mix of traditional and modern.

Denim dazzle

One can never get too much of denim and trust fashionista Sonam Kapoor to know that! She started (and probably ended) the trend of wearing a distressed denim saree over a shirt! If you're feeling gutsy, this look is worth a try!

Saree dress

Want a form yet hassle-free outfit? Make the saree dress your go-to this season! Though rare, this style can be easily carried off at a cocktail or sangeet party if accessorised and styled well.

Sharara saree

This fusion is also easy to carry off. Give the basic sharara an upgrade by pairing it with a pallu and blouse and you are good to go!
