Fashion Faceoffs have become an extremely common phenomenon. With every passing day we spot our favourite celebrities wearing either the same or similar outfits and giving us major fashion highs. We are all pretty aware of the various fads that spring up in the glamour world. From wearing neons, to yellows to pantsuits to obsessing over all things Gucci, half the times the fashion face offs are a result of an on-going fad.

This time around the fashion faceoff is between the two fashion stalwarts, Deepika Padukone and Sonam Kapoor. Kapoor Ahuja is on the cover of Bridal Asia and one of her shots really caught our attention. Sonam was clad in a pastel cream heavily embroidered saree with an equally heavily embroidered blouse by Rahul Misra. The 34 year old styled her look a centre parted sleek low hair bun, dainty earrings, filled in brows, a nude makeup look, jadau choker neckpiece and a tiered emerald neckpiece and ring.

When we saw Sonam’s picture, it instantly reminded us of Deepika Padukone’s wedding reception pictures. We saw Deepika clad in a gorgeous intricately embroidered cream and gold saree by design duo, Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla. She styled her look with an elaborate and long matching cape, with her signature pulled back sleek hairdo, filled in brows, brown smokey eyes, nude lips, a jadau neckpiece and heavy dangler earrings.

We cannot help but notice that the styling of both the look is so similar. Both of them opted for the same colour and pattern of saree with similar hairstyle and makeup. We however, prefer Deepika’s look a bit more as it beautifully weaves magic and the entire look sings well together. The only problem with Sonam’s look is her emerald jewellery. Had it been a bit heavier with more body to it, it would have definitely elevated the entire look.
