Janhvi Kapoor has been working hard to add hit films to her rich filmography. Along with that, she has been upgrading her wardrobe with some of the classic pieces from the 90s. Her recent addition is the head-turning chocolate brown saree she wore at the promotions of her recently-released film, Peddi.

While promoting her highly anticipated Telugu sports-action drama Peddi with Ram Charan, Janhvi Kapoor delivered a moment that has impressed the fans. Channelling ultimate '90s nostalgia, the actress stepped out in a breathtaking, deep chocolate brown saree.
Designed by Nidhi Halani, the custom saree breaks away from traditional red and pink palettes. Crafted from a sheer, lightweight fabric that offers fluidity, the saree features intricate gold zari work and delicate floral motifs scattered across the body.
The showstopper element, however, is the heavy golden border on the pallu, smartly contrasted with deep olive-green silk edging. Stepping away from modern minimalist blouses, Janhvi went fully traditional with a high-neckline, elbow-length sleeve blouse.
The blouse is heavily adorned with antique gold thread work, circular statement motifs, and intricate mirror detailing. The Mili actress accessorized with massive, multi-tiered gold jhumkas, a stack of traditional bangles, and a gold ring.
For makeup, she opted for a soft-glam base. She defined her eyes with sharp winged eyeliner and heavy kohl, paired with a nude-brown lip, a classic black bindi, and her hair left down in a sleek, middle-parted style. According to Asia Net News, the striking piece is estimated to cost around Rs 2.5 lakh to Rs 3 lakh.
Talking about the film Peddi, the mass entertainer hit cinemas on June 4, 2026. Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, the musical score is crafted by maestro AR Rahman. The film stars Ram Charan in the titular role, as a spirited villager with exceptional skills in cricket and wrestling.
Peddi uses the playing field as a battleground where he fights to protect his community's pride and identity against wealthy, powerful oppressors. Apart from Ram and Janhvi, the movie also stars Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, Divyenndu, and Boman Irani.
