Blueberries are rich in antioxidants. Components of blueberries like phytochemicals and flavonoids like Anthocyanins, Ellagic acid and Urolithin are known to reduce extreme damage to DNA that leads to cancer. They also limit the growth of mouth, breast, colon and prostate cancer cells.

Cherries:

Cherries are a good source of fibre, vitamin C and potassium. The dark colour of the cherries comes from anthocyanins, which are antioxidants.

Cranberries:

Cranberries are a rich source of fibre and vitamin C. They have high antioxidant power,  which comes from phytochemicals like anthocyanins, proanthocyanidins and flavonols, ursolic acid, benzoic acid and hydroxycinnamic acid. Proanthocyanidins and ursolic acid increase self-destruction of several types of cancer cells in the body.

Pumpkins:

Pumpkins contain Alpha and Beta carotene, which is converted to Vitamin A inside the body. Studies also suggest that dietary intake decreases the chances of skin cancer related to exposure from the sun.

Walnuts:

Components like Elligtannins, Gamma-tocopherol, Alpha-linolenic acid, phytosterols and Melatonin are found in walnuts. Studies claim that eating walnuts can help with breast cancer, colon tumour and prostate cancer.
