Be it a casual gathering or a brunch, quiche is a dish that is perfect for every occasion! It is super easy to make and can even be made a day before. Quiche is an egg custard that is baked in a crust shell. It is made with milk, eggs, and cream and the filling of it mostly includes seafood, cheese, vegetables, or meat.

It has a creamy and soft texture and a rich flavour. So if you want to make delicious and delectable quiche at home, then simply follow these 5 steps and wow your guests with this light-on-the-stomach savoury egg pie.

Step 1

Make the pie crust by whisking 3 cups refined flour, a pinch of salt, and 4 tbsp butter. When it starts to look like breadcrumbs, add 2 tbsp of water to it. Refrigerate this prepared dough for 1-2 hours. Roll the dough on a rolling pin and then unroll it on a quiche pan. Bake it for 20 minutes at 200 degrees celsius.

Step 2

In a bowl, mix ½ cup milk, ½ cup cream, and 3 eggs along with some salt and pepper. Add pre-cooked ingredients like spinach, onions, and mushrooms to prepare the filling. 

Step 3

You can also add 1-2 cups of shredded cheese like feta cheese, goat cheese, white cheddar cheese, Swiss cheese, and gruyere in the filling.

Step 4

Pour the filling into the prepared pie crust and sprinkle some grated cheese at the bottom. Bake the quiche for 30-40 minutes at 180 degrees celsius. 

Step 5

Once the edges are set, and the middle is a little jiggly, take the quiche out from the oven. Let it cool for at least 20 minutes.
