Kathi rolls are the ultimate dish when it comes to serving a delicious appetizer and impressing your guests. It is delicious and can be eaten easily without creating a mess. Kathi roll is a famous street food of India and is filled with a variety of flavours from tangy to spicy.

The filling is often made with a variety of vegetables and they are usually served with coriander and mint chutney along with some sliced and pickled onions. So we have for you an incredibly easy recipe to make mouthwatering paneer kathi rolls at home in just 5 simple steps! 

Step 1

Roughly chop 500 g paneer into small cubes and add it to a bowl. Add some curd, 1 tsp red chilli powder, 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp garam masala, ¼ tsp turmeric powder, 1 tbsp pressed garlic, and ½ tsp grated ginger. Marinate the paneer with these spices. 

Step 2

To prepare the filling of the kathi roll, add some oil to a pan. Once heated, add sliced onions, green bell pepper, yellow bell pepper, and red bell pepper. Add a pinch of salt and saute the vegetables for a minute. Now add the paneer and stir. Cook this for 5 minutes on medium heat. 

Step 3

For the mint and coriander chutney, simply grind ½ cup coriander leaves, 2 cloves of garlic, ½ cup mint leaves, 4-5 green chillies, salt, sugar, and lemon juice together along with some water. 

Step 4

To prepare the wrap, make chapatis as you normally would from the flour dough and cook them on a pan in some oil while turning it frequently, to make sure both the sides are evenly cooked.

Step 5

Spread the prepared chutney on the wrap and add 4 tbsp of the filling. Tightly roll the paratha and serve it with some pickled onions.
