Does your stomach growl in the middle of the night because you’re starving? It’s alright to crave for a tasty midnight snack as long as it’s healthy. Eating so late at night is not a healthy habit because your body does not get enough time to digest the food before you fall asleep. Because you are not as active as night as you are during the day, your metabolism slows down. Unhealthy midnight snacks will only increase the fat in your body and increase your weight.

Moreover, it’s impossible to sleep without satisfying your hunger pangs. But it’s important that you don’t binge on high-carb or high-fat or greasy snacks at an odd time. This is why you should raid your kitchen for the right kind of midnight snack when your tummy wants to be fed. It’s important to have limited food before bed and give your body some extra time to digest the food before you sleep. So, don’t just plop on the bed with snacks and fall asleep with your hand inside a bag of chips.
Here are some snacks that will keep your tummy and your body happy and healthy.

An egg is low in calories and high in protein. You can have boiled eggs or make an egg salad or an egg sandwich. You can also eat scrambled eggs or an omelet. There are a number of ways an egg can be cooked to satisfy your midnight snack craving.
