It’s tough to decide what to munch on when friends come over suddenly. Are you stuck in the same confusion? Make a simple and fuss-free appetiser and you’ll have one thing less to worry about. Well, if your friends love eating chicken, here’s a dish that will fill them with delight.

Chicken and Cheese Croquettes


·        Chicken (minced) – 500g

·        Butter – 50g

·        Onion – 100g

·        Ginger – 20g

·        Garlic – 20g

·        Celery – 50g

·        Leeks – 50g

·        Salt – To taste

·        Pepper – To taste

·        Oyster sauce – 30g

·        Chicken broth – 10g

·        Eggs – 1 piece

·        Cheese Cheddar – 200g

·        Sesame oil – 5ml

For the crumb:

·        Reserved egg whites – 2 pieces

·        Flour – 150g

·        Breadcrumbs – 150g


·        Take out the chicken mince from the mince machine. In a pan, add butter and sauté all the chopped vegetables. Season them and cooled them in a separate bowl.

·        Once the mixture is cool, add those vegetables in the chicken mince. Add rest of the ingredients, except cheese.

·        Make into cylindrical shapes and stuff each them with processed cheddar cheese and crumb by passing through the flour, then whisked egg whites and the breadcrumbs.

·        Deep fry until golden brown at 170 °C.
