Let's be true to ourselves! In spite of all the previous decisions of not drinking too much alcohol, we somehow end up getting drunk by the end of the night. But drinking too much comes with its pros and cons. Pros can always lend you with a fun night that you’ll remember the rest of your life. But drinking comes with its own set of problems and it especially affects you the next day.

A hangover is the most common one with symptoms including fatigue, headache, nausea, dizziness, thirst and sensitivity to light or sound. It can be a little tricky to deal with it, especially if you've had loads to drink. Just like every other person, we are not here to ask you to drink less instead we are here to help you deal with the hangover.

While an extreme hangover takes 8-24 hours to go away, here are some effective and scientifically proven ways to get rid of it faster.

Eat a king size breakfast

Alcohol lowers your blood sugar levels. Low blood sugar could also contribute to some hangover symptoms, such as nausea, fatigue and weakness. Having a good breakfast can help you get rid of those symptoms by raising your blood sugar levels. Not just that, it also provides important vitamins and minerals, which may be depleted with excessive alcohol intake.

Get plenty of sleep

Plenty of alcohol can cause disturbances in sleep. Though low to moderate amounts of alcohol may initially promote sleep, studies show that higher amounts and chronic use can ultimately disrupt sleep patterns. While lack of sleep is not the cause of a hangover, it can surely worsen it.
 

Drink water

It is the easiest way to get the alcohol out of your system faster. It is important to flush all the impurities out of your body as fast as you can.

 

Eat ginger

For severe nausea, vomiting and diarrhea, ginger is a great solution. For centuries, people have taken ginger to reduce nausea and vomiting.

Consume sugar

While the blood sugar levels are low, try consuming sugary foods while you are drinking. Fructose may speed alcohol metabolism, thus reducing the risk of a hangover. Clearly, prevention is better than cure!
