We love to travel, but every now and then, we all need a little break from our monotonous routines and take a few days away. But if you can't get a few days off work, you can always go away for a weekend with your partner. After all, what's better than spending some time with your partner and indulging in sweet and romantic moments. It can be refreshing to spend time with your partner without being in the city and living free and like a tourist for a bit. A little weekend adventure doesn't hurt anyone and it can spice up your love life and help relieve a little stress. A long trip cannot be much fun, but if you live in Delhi, there are a number of places close by to head to and we've picked out the best ones for a little romance.

1. Alwar

Located in Rajasthan, this place is a beautiful destination for a couple. It has some amazing forts to explore and the Siliserh lake an eyeful and you could just sit near the lake and share a cup of tea while you take in the beauty of nature. You can see the Neemrana fort and stay in it as well. It is a heritage luxury resort that makes for one of the most romantic places to spend some lovely time with your partner.

2. Agra

As mainstream as it may be there's nothing more beautiful than the Taj Mahal. It is one of the seven wonders of the world and it depicts love no other. It's best if you visit it on a full moon night. It looks the most beautiful when the moon shines on this mahal of love while you sit there holding hands and looking at its beauty.

3. Landsdowne

Located in Uttrakhand, this quiet town has a lot to offer you. It is a very peaceful place and there's the Kalagarh Wildlife Sanctuary that you can head to for some entertainment. You can go trekking here and it also has a thick pine and oak jungle. You can go bird watching or boating in the lake or take a trip down the memory lane by visiting the war memorial here.

4. Kasauli

While most people head to Kasol, you and your partner should head to Kasauli. This little town is rich in flora and fauna. It's the perfect hill station to head to if you want to watch an amazing sunset and sunrise with your partner and go for nature walks along the pine trees path. If you're feeling a little adventurous, you can try going camping too.

5. Jaipur

The pink city may seem like a very mainstream choice, but it has some of the best forts and you can do all the cute touristy things here and you can get your partner some jewelry. It has a number of UNESCO World Heritage Sites and extremely delicious cuisine and you can pick a very royal resort to live in and enjoy the Rajasthani hospitality.
