‘Everyone’s trying to lose weight or be healthy’ and this is something we’ve been hearing for a long time now. While junk foods have dominated our pantry’s everyone is trying to make a conscious effort to stay fit and healthy. While doing so, the food we eat plays a great role and especially the kind of veggies we eat. Now, eating the same food every day makes the diet very monotonous making it difficult to stick to it. Adding to it, being healthy can also be time-consuming which makes us want to cheat every now and then. So, while taking care of your taste buds and ofcourse your precious time, here are a few salad recipes that are delicious and can be easily made in under 10 minutes.

Green Leaves with a crunch

There’s nothing healthier than green leaves. Spinach, kale and lettuce are the best things to put in a salad. Butt while you are trying to gulp all the nutrition down your throat, this salad recipe will give your boring greens a nutty twist.

Start by cutting up lettuce and cabbage in bite-size pieces. Now, add cherry tomatoes, onions, olives and avocados to the mix. Now add salt, pepper and a dash of lime to the mix and give it a stir. Now, if you are someone who loves to have crunchy bits in their salads, add a religious amount of walnuts to make it all crispy and healthy.

Mexican punch

This is the best salad that you can make in under 10 minutes. All you need to do is dice up all kinds of capsicum, onions and tomatoes and fill up half a bowl with it. Now add corn and baked beans to the mix and season it with salt, pepper and chilli powder. Once done, add a religious amount of lemon and coriander to the mixture. And voila, your delicious salad is ready!

Sprout salad

This is a nutritious salad with loads of protein. So, if you are a vegetarian this is the right source of protein for you. Start by taking sprouted green moong in a bowl and add carrots, capsicum, tomato, lemon juice, salt and coriander leaves and give it a toss. Once done add a bit of sugar as it works well with the veggies while also giving it that extra bit of push. (hush, hush though its a secret ingredient!)
