Bloating is a condition where the stomach and intestines feel blown up with a buildup of food and air. It is usually caused by excess gas production or disturbances in the movement of the muscles of the digestive system. It often causes discomfort and a feeling of being ‘stuffed’ all the time. It is not a disease but just a condition where the abdomen fills up the air causing it to feel dense and full. So, here are some of the easy ways to instantly feel less bloated. 

Start the day right

If being bloated s something that you feel on a regular basis, start off the day right with a cup of hot water with lemon and honey. This will flush out all the toxins from the body to start off the day with an empty stomach. For an added twist, you can also add turmeric and cinnamon to the mixture for some great anti-inflammatory properties. 

Drink water

While you are at it, do not forget to consume water throughout the day. Water does not have any toxins or bloating properties and will also not let food and gas getting stuck in the stomach and intestines. 

Chew slower

When you chew faster, you tend to take in more air that gets trapped in the stomach. So, while at lunch savour your food and eat it slowly to not let any excess air get in the stomach. You can also skip or reducing chewing gum to feel less bloated.

Avoid Dairy

Lactose intolerance is a real thing even if you have the mildest of it. Intake of dairy products like milk, cheese, yoghurt or even butter can sometimes take longer to digest. Stay away from it if you are experiencing gas and bloating because even if you are consuming it for years, you never know what your body might react to. 

Take a walk / Do Yoga

Physical activity can help in getting those bowel movements easily. Certain yoga poses can also help in targeting the abdomen area which helps in releasing all the air from the body. If nothing works, just try and take a walk around the block.
