A healthy diet is difficult to follow and you love the cheat days. An intensive work out routine to keep your body in shape and healthy is important. You always avoid those fries and chocolate muffin just to maintain your diet. You curb your cravings with healthy food but still, you’ve been gaining weight. Weight loss is a difficult journey, but sometimes little habits can make your journey even more difficult. We often make mistakes without realising how they impact our body. It is essential to watch out for all those tiny lifestyle mistakes that can lead to weight gain. If you’re constantly trying to find the reason for this weight gain but find it difficult to do so you need to take a long hard look at the little things that you do that are secretly causing weight gain. Here’s a list of little things that are secretly causing weight gain.

1. Staying up till late at night can cause weight gain. You stay up till late working hard, but you fail to realise is that when you stay up at night your body does not get enough time to process and breakdown the food. When you get less sleep, your body does not remain as active and energetic as it normally would which does not allow your body to burn the calories.

2. Skipping your meals. You may just be too busy and fail to eat your lunch or breakfast. This slows down your metabolism and makes you hungrier. This may lead to unhealthy snacking and overeating which takes a toll on your metabolism and body.

3. You eat in a hurry. When you do this your stomach fails to tell your brain that it’s full and you end up eating more than your body needs. Eating slowly helps your body consume only what it needs.

4. You don’t drink enough water. When you are dehydrated your body mistakes the thirst for hunger and you end up eating more than you need.

5. You multitask while eating. You work or binge watch while you eat. When you’re distracted while eating you tend to eat more than you want without even realising it. You don’t realise that this is causing more weight gain than you can imagine.
