What is Jal Neti?

This nasal purification technique is one of six purification procedures or Shatkarmas. With the help of this technique, one can clean the nasal path and remove all the blockages and mucous. How it works?

One has to pour water in one nostril with the Jal Neti pot and flush it out from another. The Jal Neti pot has a nozzle which is small enough to put inside the nostril. Dos and dont's

One should ideally do it while you sit or stand and bend towards the front to let the water flow. After Jal Neti process makes sure your nose is dry as moist nasal passages can lead to other health issues and infections. If there is some moisture, then practice Kapalbhati Pranayama to remove the excess water. You may experience irritation in the nose, sneezing or coughing initially.
