One thing that all of us need after an intense workout session is some energy drink. Energy drinks that are available in markets claim to be healthy but are just stacked up with loads of sugar. They hydrate you for the moment, but the sugar content in them also dehydrates you after a while. Those drinks are okay to consume once in a while, but consuming them daily is not good for the body. The best workout drink should always be coconut water. It's refreshing, hydrating and has a bunch of enriching vitamins, is low in calories and contains electrolytes. Electrolytes are essential after exercising heavily and even during diarrhoea and vomiting attacks when the body tends to lose electrolytes rapidly.

If you still prefer to drink something else, then how about making some refreshments at home? Read below to find out how you can make post-workout energy drinks at home without adding any colours or preservatives.
