Calorie counting isn’t what everyone does. But, if you are keeping tabs on what and how much you eat, counting the calories to reach a specific goal is important. But let us all agree to the fact that even if you are on a diet, sometimes the cravings and hunger pangs do take over. So, when you are going through such phases, here are some easy and low-calorie snacks that will literally save you from cheating. 

Yoghurt Bowl

This is the best thing you can eat when you are craving for desserts. Just take a cup of yoghurt and fill it up with berries, honey and chia seeds. It is cold, sweet and tasty while also providing enough fibre and protein to your body. You can also add cocoa powder to your yoghurt for a creamy chocolaty delight.

Hard-Boiled Eggs

According to Shape Magazine, ‘Two hard-boiled eggs provide about 150 calories, 12 grams of protein, and 10 grams of fat.’ Now, that is a great snack, isn’t it? Just sprinkle them with your favourite seasoning and you are good to go!

Crispy Roasted Chickpeas

When you are craving something salty, chickpeas are the best for you. They are a great alternative to fatty and fibrous nuts. You can easily make your own batch of crispy roasted chickpeas by tossing chickpeas with olive oil and your fave spices and roast at 350 degrees until crispy. 

Fruits with nut-butter

This is a super-easy way to fill that tummy up. If you do not like eating regular fruits, switch things up and dip them in your favourite nut butter. Nuts have great nutritional values plus their butter just makes everything taste good.

Baked chips and salsa

Now, we have the best for last. We all know that nothing beats a snack like chips and dip. So, you can make it healthier by opting for baked sesame or sweet potato chips (any other healthy option would also work). Now, instead of opting for a fatty cheesy dip, go for freshly made tomato salsa. It will undeniably satisfy those taste buds!
