"My favorite thing about being a mom is just what a better person it makes you on a daily basis." -Drew Barrymore

Motherhood is the most special and beautiful thing that can happen to a woman. It is surreal to see something that you have created live in front of you. It is often said that after giving birth to their child, all the ladies out there forget about all the labour pain that they go through. The also say that it is only motherhood that can truly teach you what love is and how pure that feeling is.

We recently met Neha Dhupia who exclusively spoke to Pinkvilla, all about motherhood. When you're pregnant there are a lot of changes that develop in one's body. The skin starts to breakout initially and then post your 5th month your skin starts glowing flawlessly. Stretch marks are also a major topic of concern as after the baby is delivered and you get back in shape you are left with those marks on your body. In a tell all interview, Neha discussed about her skin care regime, weight loss and more. Read on.

We first asked her about her what was her skincare regime like when she was pregnant and post the delivery. Neha said, "I actually had absolutely no skincare regime when I was pregnant because the best thing about it is that you're constantly feeding yourself everything. Good food as we all know leads to great skin." She further continued how she was extremely worried about stretch marks. "The one thing that I was concern about was stretch marks so I would oil my tummy because it was getting bigger and bigger and bigger, so I would put coconut oil as it prevents from having any stretch marks at all post my delivery," she added.

We also asked the stunner if there was any hair care or skin care remedy passed onto her by her mother or grandmother while she was pregnant. She instantly replied, "For me it was coconut oil. My mother always said that I should just moisturise my skin with coconut oil, it is just great for you. Also, as hard as it may sound but egg and dahi whipped up together for your hair was that one remedy which was passed on to me, but the smell was so bad that I've never done it.

Neha also spoke to us about what kept her motivated throughout the whole pregnancy journey since women tend to feel a little over-confident with their ever increasing and changing body shape. Dhupia said, "Ofcourse there were days when I felt very very under confident. The one thing however, that kept me going was the fact that I would always look at my pictures being fit. I've been a marathon runner before pregnancy and I would want to continue that as I've set those targets for myself and I will be running marathons next year.

Neha sure does speak for all the women out there who are battling major issues mentally when it comes to questioning themselves while their body undergoes the changes. However, the diva proudly says that the key to leading a mentally and physically healthy life is by staying positive through everything.
