Work is a place where you spend most of the hours in a day, so it is necessary that you live in a good environment with peace and laughter. Now, there are some people who annoy others and spoil the peace and vibe of a healthy workspace by bringing their trivial problems and personality traits on the table. So to avoid people hating on you, here are 5 bad work habits you need to change that annoy people.

1. Neglecting your appearance:

It is important for you to create an impression in your workspace and there’s absolutely no denying that. Now, the first and foremost thing that anybody notices is your appearance. So, make sure you are impeccably dressed so you present yourself well in any situation.

2. Don’t let your frustration out:

If you come annoyed at work or are stressed about work deadlines, your colleagues are not the right people to vent it out on. Understand yourself and the times that you are stressed and try and keep calm during those days. You need to understand that the office is a workplace and everyone has deadlines and presentations to complete, you are not the only one who is stressed out. You don’t want your colleagues hating on you for such trivial issues right?

3. Being unprepared:

The one thing that is worse than everything else is when you are unprepared. If you enter a presentation without the right content it not only is a loss for you but also for the company. You can turn your career around instantly if you are prepared for a presentation or meeting with your senior members. It just sets a different kind of impression when you know what you are talking about.

4. If you do not like someone, use tech to communicate:

If you know someone who immediately triggers your anger at work, try and avoid having contact with them. (I’d say you should solve the problem, but let’s be real, that is not going to happen!) But, in order to ignore them, you cannot put your work at stake right? So, here tech comes in handy. If meetings aren’t required, put it all down on a mail so it gives you mental peace and also avoids any confrontation.

5. Do not abuse privileges:

We know that everyone has a certain amount of privileges at work but misusing them is a big no-no. if you are thick with the boss, you’d still have to abide by the rules and not compel him to find things about you that you’d regret. This could mean everything from access cards to computing devices and any work-related article you own.
