And today, the King of Romance celebrates his 54th birthday and to celebrate the occasion here are some SRK movies which prove that he deserves to be called as the Badshah of Bollywood. Read below to find out which movies are those.

Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge:

This movie taught and still teaches us so much about romance. It is a classic Bollywood love story that is loved by millions even today. Shah Rukh Khan as Raj and Kajol as Simran meet in Europe while chilling with their friends. Initially, they can’t stand each other but that hate soon turns into love. The chemistry between Raj and Simran is steaming, and the picturesque background of Punjab and Europe wins the show.

Kuch Kuch Hota Hai:

The directorial debut film of Karan Johar teaches us that your best friend can be your lover. And friendship is the first step of a relationship. Starring Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and Rani Mukerji, the film was a love triangle that takes place amongst three friends in college. Kuch Kuch Hota Hai is a melodramatic film, full of dance numbers, but it also offers so much more than your average Hindi film. It is one film that you will never get tired of watching.

A film that describes the constant battle between love and fear is well crafted in a college backdrop. It told us the story of two men with stern beliefs who constantly were at battle. Raj Aryan (Shahrukh Khan) was a musician who believed in love and would go to any extent for it. Narayan Shankar (Amitabh Bachchan), the head of a prestigious institute put his principles above everything in life. Watching Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan go head to head on the big screen was a delight for the audience.

This movie is a masterpiece in itself. Shah Rukh Khan not only nailed the character but he truly made the character his own and breathed a new life into Devdas. It is a movie that revolves around a man named Devdas Mukherji, who turns into an alcoholic to numb his pain after his family prohibits him from marrying the woman he is in love with.

Kal Ho Na Ho:

This movie cannot be watched without having a tissue box by your side. Kal Ho Naa Ho is a such a film that is guaranteed to get your eyes wet, you feel that you’re a part of that story as well and feel the pain of the characters in the situation. While the entire cast did a tremendous job, it won’t come as a surprise when we say that Shah Rukh Khan stole the show.

This movie touched millions of hearts and is also our personal favourite. It is a film about humanity, devotion, sacrifice and the power of love. We see two individuals belonging from different sides of the border who meet and fall in love and are tied in a bond forever. Even though the plot of the Shah Rukh Khan movie is nothing extraordinary, the team of the film step up their game and make it a must watch.
