As per 2017 report by Cardiological Society of India (CSI), one in every three Indians is suffering from hypertension. While medications can help to reduce blood pressure healthy diet can bring drastic results. One of the common advices people get is that ditching of salt and high sodium food items.

Also, one has to say bye to processed meats, canned food items, sugary and transfat laden foods among others. And inclusion fresh fruits, vegetables and ideally Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension (DASH) diet is a must for high BP patients. While there are many healthy foods to lower hypertension, there are many drinks as well which can help you to maintain high BP levels and other related diseases.

1.Low-fat milk
Milk is one of the healthiest drinks as it is loaded with potassium, calcium, vitamin D, phosphorus among others. As per a study in the British Journal of Nutrition, drinking low-fat milk instead of full-fat milk can bring huge results in high BP as full-fat dairy has palmitic acid which can block blood vessels.

2. Chia seeds infused water
Chia seeds are packed with Omega 3 fatty acid and the same can help to make the blood thinner and reduce the BP.  One can soak chia seeds in water for half an hour and drink the water. Drink the mixture for around a month for effective results.

3. Pomegranate juice
This ruby-red fruit is a powerhouse of potassium and BP watchers know how potassium-rich foods are great to lower high BP. This is not all, pomegranate has three times more antioxidants than green tea or red wine.  As per several studies, drinking pomegranate juice daily can significantly reduce blood pressure.

4. Apple Cider Vinegar drink
