Ginger

Ginger for ages is known to cure cold, cough and sneezing. You can either have ginger tea or kadak adrak waali chai, or boil it in water and honey and have it. Ginger eases sneezing and also prevents the airways from contracting. You can also make a concoction which will be of good use for you. While this might not be a popular remedy but it is definitely extremely effective. All you need is some tamarind pulp and black pepper. Prepare a soup with these two ingredients and drink it hot to get rid of your cold. You can also make a concoction or kaadha. All you have to do is soak a small tamarind piece for half an hour.
