For the unversed, a low-carb diet will restrict the inclusion of grains, sugary foods, bread, pasta, rice, beans, potatoes, chocolates, candies, soda, starchy veggies, and fruits.   

Coming to a low carb diet for weight loss, several studies have claimed that low-carb diets can be more effective than a low-fat diet. So, what happens when you are on a low-carb diet? 3. Veggies which are low on carbs
Broccoli, tomatoes, onions, cauliflower, eggplant, cucumber, bell peppers, green beans, mushrooms, cabbage and spinach among others are loaded with many nutrients such folate, vitamins, fiber, protein, vitamin C, antioxidants, magnesium and potassium and are quite low on carbs.

4. Fruits which are low on carbs
Strawberries, apricots, lemons, kiwis, oranges and other berries are packed with Vitamin C, potassium, copper and antioxidants among others. So, you can gorge on these fruits as they have less carb content and high on other nutrients.

5. Seafoods which have less carbs

Bottom line, low carb diet and more of proteins and fats can help you in weight loss but there are some risks that you should be aware of. A sudden drastic cut in carbs can lead to health issues such as headaches, weakness, muscle cramps, fatigue and constipation/diarrhea for a temporary period.
