With so many up and coming new releases being launched on streaming platforms, it is easier to go on a watching spree in the comfort of your own house. This week’s suggestions range from Marvel superhero action to period drama on Netflix and Disney Hotstar.

From WandaVision to The Dig, here are our top picks for a weekend binge that you won’t regret. 


Released on Disney Hotstar, the much awaited MCU series follows the lives of Wanda Maximoff and Vision as they live a happy life in a suburban setting. However, soon things start to turn up as Wanda realises the unfortunate events to be followed in the aftermath of Avengers Infinity War and Endgame when Vision is seen as dead. You can stream this now on Disney Hotstar.

Little Big Women

A drama series released on Netflix, it follows a group of family members with the passing of their estranged father and the remnants of the life he led during his absence. This series is an emotional Taiwanese family affair on Netflix that is a for sure tearjerker and heartfelt. 

War Dogs (2016)

If you are into wacky comedies and the combination of Jonah Hill and Miles Teller sharing the silver screen excites you, then this movie is definitely a must watch. The movie is based on two friends who find each other making big bucks by becoming an international arms dealer.

Malcolm & Marie

Released on Netflix, this is another eagerly awaited film that stars Zendaya and John David Washington. It showcases smouldering tensions and painful revelations between a couple and their romantic reckoning. 

The Dig

Streaming on Netflix, The Dig is a 2021 British drama film directed by Simon Stone. It is based on a novel of the same name by John Preston. It portrays the events of the 1939 excavation of Sutton Hoo. 

The fabulous lives of Bollywood wives

Streaming on Netflix, this show gives you a glimpse into the lives of four friends hailing from the Bollywood industry. It follows the mundane life of Maheep Kapoor, Neelam Kothari, Seema Khan and Bhavana Pandey, wives of Sanjay Kapoor, Samir Soni, Sohail Khan and Chunky Pandey respectively. If you want a weekend full of designer clothes, fashion labels, styling tips and Bollywood cameos including Shah Rukh Khan himself then this is it.

Crack: Cocaine, corruption and conspiracy

Set in the early 1980s, this documentary follows a time period wherein a cheap, powerful drug emerged during a recession, igniting a moral panic fueled by racism. Streaming on Netflix, you can watch this for exploring the complex history of crack in the 1980s.
