Despite their different views and arguments over insignificant concerns, Piku, an architect, and her aging but nagative father Bhaskor Banerjee become closer as a result of their road trip to Kolkata.

Piku's performances are superb, topped by one of Amitabh Bachchan's best acts. Amitabh is mesmerizing as Bhaskor, a man who delights in being brutal and honest, but whose eyes are soft as marshmallows when he looks at his daughter.
Piku is a film thats hard to dislike. It is structured as a journey that relies, at times forcibly, on the relatable nature of its protagonists. The music feels like a warm breeze, worldviews and personalities seem familiar, and the quiet final minutes reiterate the circular motion of life.
