Underprivileged children put on a spectacular show at the Dance Out of Poverty showcase
A Dance institute in Delhi is committed to give education to all those who aspire to become a choreographer/dancer, but don’t have enough money to get higher education in the field of dancing. They will not just teach them choreographies; they will educate them and make them proficient enough to make a career out of their passion. Thus helping them dance their way out of poverty.
They have laid a foundation of this program by giving free of cost training to more than 200 underprivileged children for a period of two and a half months. Legendary choreographer Saroj Khan was their celebrity mentor for this workshop, These underprivileged children did put on a fantastic show at the grand finale on 20th August. All these children got certificates from Saroj Khan and Vinay Sharma, which will certainly act as a morale booster from them. Famous Punjabi Singer “Deep Money” was also present at the venue to support the cause along with some famous names like Neelam Rudy, Dr.RatanKaur, Shalinikochhar, Renu Hussain and many more.
“This is just the beginning, our goal is to reach out to 1 million underprivileged children in India and benefit them with the Dance out of poverty program. I know it sounds ambitious, but we are determined…with some support, we are positive that we will be able to make a difference” says Vinay Sharma (Initiator of the program).
