Even before the release of the Rani Mukherji starrer movie, Mardaani 2, it has already made several headlines, as the Kota residents claim, that the city had been portrayed in a very contrasting way. There have been several Bollywood movies, which has invited a lot of controversies lately, due to the objections by the public, which has often called a lot of protests. Let us have a look at these movies which released this year, despite of the controversies created

The movie which basically talks about the third battle of Panipat between Mughals and Marathas, faced a lot of criticism due to the wrong portrayal of Maharaja Surajmal who was a legendary Jat ruler of Bharatpur. The scene where Maharaja Surajmal offering to help Sadashiv Rao for fighting against Abdali in return for the Agra fort and Sadashiv refusing to accept the deal, invited as lot of controversies demanded its removal from the audience.

The trailer of this movie, brought a lot of controversy due to a marital rape dialogue which was objected by the public.

The Shahid Kapoor starrer movie, which made big in the box office this year, also faced criticism from the public due to the toxic and violent portrayal of the hero.

Ayushmann Khurrana - Bhumi Pednekar starrer movie also faced a lot of controversies since it’s trailer release. From Bhumi’s altered complexion, by painting her face dark to Ayushmann’s same bald avatar, the movie has been making headlines on the internet.

Kangana Ranaut, and Rajkummar Rao starrer movie has been in the headlines right from the day it was announced. The makers of the movie have been accused due to plagiarism of a new poster of the film, starring a cat half posed on Kangana’s face. The film’s title was ‘Mental Hain Kya’ earlier, which was then changed to ‘Judgementall Hain Kya’ due to controversies.

The role of late Shiv Sena leader Balasaheb Thackeray, was played by Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who faces several communal backlashes since he’s a Muslim, which doesn’t do justice to the role according to the public.
