5 Hit films that Suriya rejected!!

The handsome hunk who has been ruling the hearts of audience with his charm and acting prowess has given many amazing films and established himself as an actor who gives engaging narratives. However, he also rejected some of the films which later turned out to be blockbuster hits. Here is the list of hit films he turned down

Aasai - The romantic drama film is a fan favourite that churned great numbers in box office. Suriya was initially approached by Vasanth for this film but he rejected as he felt he was 'too' young for the role.

Thuppaki - Murgadoss' directorial that elevated Vijay to another level of stardom was initially offered to Suriya but he rejected it as his previous film with Murgadoss '7am Arivu' bombed at the box office.

Paiyya - The action drama directed by Lingusamy was dubbed and remade in several languages owing to it's success. However, the role to went to his brother Karthi even though Suriya was the initial choice for the character.

Nanban - The hit film based on bollywood film 3 idiots was a huge success. The remake rights was offered to Parthiban who was planning to cast Suriya but later it went to Shankar who roped in Thalapathy for the role.

Dhruva Natchathiram - Gowtham Menon and Suriya announced their next project 'Dhruva Natchathiram'. But after the initial hype, Suriya walked out of the film citing creative differences with the director. Now the film is currently in the making with Vikram in the lead.
