Aamir Khan walked out of Vikram Vedha because it's not being set in China?

The remake of hit Tamil movie Vikram Vedha is highly anticipated. Reports of the star cast has been the buzz for quite a while now, and it's known that Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan are reprising the lead roles.

If we go back a bit in time, possibly to November, you'd know that Aamir Khan was all set to star in the film. While Hrithik was the first choice, he couldn't take up the role due to schedule issues. It then went to Aamir but the actor reportedly walked out of the movie for unknown reasons.

It seems Aamir wanted the film to be set in China! Why? Because the actor is massively popular there and enjoys quite a fanfare. His movies 3 Idiots and Dangal performed well in the country. Post the pandemic, though, Indo-China relations slipped, and that was when Aamir decided to pull back from the project. What are your opinions on this?
