BAFTA's tribute to Irrfan Khan and Rishi Kapoor proves that they were global stars

Fans were in a state of shock and full of emotion when glimpses of the late actors Irrfan Khan and Rishi Kapoor appeared in front of them. At the 74th British Academy Film Awards, both of Bollywood icons, along with Chadwick Boseman were paid tribute in their In Memorium segment at award ceremony. The award was held virtually due to the ongoing pandemic.

Both Irrfan and Rishi passed away last year on 29 and 30th April respectively due to cancer. Fans were grief-stricken upon hearing this news, especially when it happened in just 24 hours. Irrfan, who was loved in India, was also globally a recognizable face, having done Hollywood films like 'Life of Pi', 'Inferno, 'Jurassic World' and 'The Amazing Spider-Man.' Many international celebrities like Salma Hayek, Chris Pratt and Angelina Jolie had mourned his demise.
