Best Place to visit after DEATH !

Reviewing "The Good Place" by Michael Schur

Created by Michael Schur, the critically acclaimed series "The Good Place" is a fresh & a quite complicated concept for the tired eyes of a soap-aquainted audience. The lead, deceased Eleanor Shellstrop (Kristen Bell) is welcomed at The Good Place, viz. a utopian place afterlife, wherein, its citizens are selected via an algorithm, which is created by its very own "architect" Michael (Ted Danson). Breaking all the stereotypes of concepts termed 'heaven' & 'hell', this sitcom gives it a scientific yet satisfying approach. The series paints a fresh perspective on decision-making as an individual as well as a group effort; i.e, the battle of choices in our heads. There's a cheeky girl next door Eleanor who wishes to make an instant choice & there's the righteous philosophy professor Chidi Anagonye (William Jackson Harper). There's Janet (D'Arcy Carden) - an artificial being designed to help the dead citizens. Trust me, she's way better than Siri, Alexa or Cortana.

To top it all, the writers have managed to toss different styles, cultures & classes to get a balanced comic effect. British diva Tahani Al-Jamil (Jameela Jamil) & Jacksonville's sweetheart Jason Mendoza (Manny Jacinto) add a vibrant color to the script. Well, some of the reboots may seem exhausting, but the show manages one to be on the edge of his seat. One might wonder what chaos is yet to come after death- the possible full stop. However, the drama has just begun.
