Is Content Really The King In Bollywood?

One of the rare positives that came out of the pandemic was the introduction of Indian audiences to the world cinema. They were no longer slaves of the big juicy dance numbers or of the hugely dramatic or sometimes cheesy one liners. Rather they started to focus and gradually appreciate content on the OTT platforms.

So if one were to ask this question as to Is content really the king in Bollywood? The answer to that would be a greatful and welcoming Yes! With multi starrer big budgeted movies like Laxmi Bomb, Dabbang 3, Baaghi 3 and the latest Coolie Number 1 falling flat on their faces in a major contrast to Low budgeted semi-known faces being appreciated in Scam 1992, Paatallok and Lootcase like movies is a clear indication of the fact that the times have been changing.

But it'd be equally interesting to witness how long this little wave of content lovers survive when now theatres have opened and are preparing to function in full force. All we can do is HOPE that it does survive.
