Cricketers taking Covishield instead of Covaxin , here’s why -

The Indian cricket team players are getting vaccinated in a hubble, and among them are the ones who are to play in the squad for World Test Championship (WTC) Final against New Zealand and for the Test series against England as they are scheduled to fly to the UK on The 2nd of June. All these players have opted to get the jab of covisheild instead of covxin because , second dose of the vaccine requires a gap of a minimum of 28 days . The BCCI has asked the players to get the Covishield vaccine instead of the Covaxin, as Covishield is based UK based product, which will make it easier for the players to get the second jab available in UK itself . The team is to play on the 18th of June and could easily get their second dose by the first week of June without any difficulties, says BCCI.
