Do We Need More Films Like Article 15?

‘Article 15 prohibits discrimination of Indians on basis of religion, race, caste, sex or place of birth and appears in the Fundamental Rights in the Constitution of India.’ Based on this, we can understand the basic premise of the film - fighting crimes on the basis of caste and discrimintation. It raises questions about the occurrence of these crimes by creating a plot based on several true events. The grim setting, dark lighting and neat cinematography help make Article 15 a true masterpiece. However, the question remains - do we need more films like this? Personally, I believe we are in need of films like this. They not only make us question the social hierarchies and injustices practiced across the nation but also raise awareness among an audience who are relatively protected.
