Have you heard about 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah' fame Munmun Dutta's controversy?

Munmun Dutta, who plays the role of Babita Iyer in the popular comedy show 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah' has been in the news recently, but for the wrong reasons. She posted a video on social media where she is saying that she is using lip stint so that her lips look good. She further said she wants to look good in the video and not like a 'Bhangi'. For the uninitiated, Bhangi or Balmiki is an Indian dalit caste. After the video of her delivering a casteist slur went viral, #ArrestMunmunDutta started trending on Twitter. People were angry at her for saying such a mean word. She quickly issued an apology stating that her word was misinterpreted and said that she was misinformed about the word due to her language barrier. Filmmaker Neeraj Ghywan called her out and told her to "apologize and shut up" and not try to cover what she had said. Now a case has been filed against her under the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act for using a casteist slur. The FIR was registered against Munmun after Rajat Kalsan, who is the convenor of the National Alliance for Dalit Human Rights, filed a complaint. Well, what's your take on this whole issue?
