How F.R.I.E.N.D.S. Embraced Different Forms Of Parenthood

Parenthood is considered as a blessing but when any individual or a couple enjoys it with unconventional ways, society can't gulp it down. We are in 2021 yet we haven't normalised these different forms of parenthood but American TV show, F.R.I.E.N.D.S. had done it way back in 1998.

Phoebe Buffay had taken up the responsibility to be a surrogate for her brother Frank Jr. She didn't care about herself at that time as long as she knew Frank and Alice were happy. In the same case, even Frank and Alice were betting their everything just to have a family, irrespective of their differences.

Rachel Green was hated by many for choosing herself over others, but she was strong and accepted her reality. When she had her daughter Emma out of wedlock with Ross Geller, she did not even push it on somebody else. She owned it and declared that she will be raising Emma independently.

Monica Geller and Chandler Bing have been giving us couple goals and MonDler fans can't deny it. When two could not conceive a baby due to their incompatible functionalities, they started their search for a sperm donor and finally decided to adopt.

In all these cases, the love was pure and thanks to the makers that they did not show any of these characters as abnormal people who needed sympathy, like the society would have treated them.
