The Most Overrated Acting Performances In The Past Year

Bobby Deol in Class Of '83

Getting the look right for a performance is one thing. The easy stuff. But internalizing the character and be one with it takes it a totally another level of mastery as an actor which Bobby Deol certainly wasn't at par with in this 2020 Red Chillies Production Class of '83. Ofcourse he tried but the kind of response he got for a decent-at-best level performance in this, thanks to the media and his PR agency was very much uneasonable but at the same time very much needed for the actor's career push.

Jhanvi Kapoor in Gunjan Saxena

Again I don't know if putting on a costume and getting in shape for a role is what the paid media would call a 'Wonderful Acting Display' as was the case with yet another Netflix feature film Gunjan Saxena. With such an amazingly inspiring story and an equally amazing supporting cast in Pankaj Tripathi and Vineet Kumar Singh, if still your costume is all people can talk about then you really need a major introspection coming your way.

Abhishek Bachchan in Ludo

Now don't get me wrong AB was decent in Ludo. I mean he got the look, the mood and the emotion right but he just could not get way past it. And that face! The expression simply would not change. But in contrast to that, the kind of buzz he created with that performance of his was, to be honest what we would like to call so overrated!

What do you think was the most overrated performance in 2020? Note it down in the comment section below.
