Is Netflix adding 40 anime titles a good move?

Netflix is all geared to launch 40 animes on its platform in 2021, double of what it had last year.

While the anime industry itself is massive, it has gained newfound momentum since lockdown. The sheer number of anime watchers increased, and Netflix tapped into this market by promoting originals such as Violet Evergarden.

Many had previously complained that Netflix's range and collection of anime was limited, so this announcement comes as a welcome move. At the same time, long-time anime watchers feel that Netflix's involvement with the industry might take away its essence and reduce it to animated versions of American sitcoms. What are your opinions on this?
