Not only Irrfan Khan, but these celebs have also done International projects

Irrfan Khan, who passed away on 29th April last year, was among the few Bollywood actors to make their presence felt on an international level. He had done films like 'The Namesake', 'Slumdog Millionaire', 'The Amazing Spider-Man', 'Life of Pi', 'Jurassic World', 'Inferno', 'Doob' and 'The song of Scorpions.' But he was not the only one. In the past, there have been instances of Indian actors doing minor often insignificant roles in Hollywood films. Irrfan tried to change that and succeeded to an extent. Naseeruddin Shah did a supporting role in 'The League of Extraordinary Gentleman'. Anupam Kher has done multiple English language films like 'Bend it like Beckham', 'Bride and Prejudice', and 'Silver Linings Playbook.'

Back in the day, Amrish Puri, was the terrifying villain Mola Ram in 'Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.' Not many people know, but Shabana Azmi had done a number of foreign films including Madame Sousatzka, Bengali Night, Roland Joffe's City of Joy, and Son of the Pink Panther. Before Deepika Padukone or Priyanka Chopra, Aishwarya Rai had gain international fame with 'Bride and Prejudice' and has also acted in 'The Mistress of Spices', 'Provoked', 'The Last Legion' and spy comedy 'The Pink Panther 2.' At last, who can forget Amitabh Bachchan's blink and you miss kind of appearance in 'The Great Gatsby', which he apparently did for free.
