Sooryavanshi getting delayed won't affect Akshay Kumar's brand value, here's why

Recently, it was announced that Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif starrer action thriller Sooryavanshi has been delayed yet again. Amidst the rising cases of the COVID-19, the makers are in no mood to risk a theatrical release. The film, directed by Rohit Shetty, is the third entry in Shetty's cop universe after Singham and Simmba. It was originally scheduled to release in March last year but has been getting delayed due to the pandemic.

But this begs the question, will it affect Akshay Kumar's brand value? Well, the answer is no. According to the consultancy firm Duff & Phelps, Khiladi Kumar is one of the most valuable celebrities of India with an estimated value of 118.9 million USD. Plus, Akshay also has seven films in his hands right now which includes finished projects like 'Bellbottom', 'Atrangi Re', 'Bachchan Pandey' and 'Prithviraj'. He is currently filming 'Ram Setu' and has announced 'Raksha Bandhan.'

Easily one of the busiest actors in Bollywood, Akshay doesn't have the time even to grasp the success or failure of one film. He quickly finishes a film and starts shooting for the next. Let's wait and see how his star power will affect the fate of Sooryavanshi. Will the makers go for an OTT release or will they wait for the cases to drop? We don't know. But we do know that Akshay is currently in one of the best phase of his career.
