The uncomfortable age gap between male and female actors

Bollywood actors, especially male actors, never tend to accept their age and choose roles accordingly. We have often seen 50-year-olds pretending to be college kids and so on. But this is just the opposite with female actor, who have an "expiry date" and don't get good offers after a certain age. Of course there are exceptions like Tabu. But that's very few and far between when compared to male actors in their 50s still romancing actresses less than half their age. This honestly looks creepy. To give this ageism a context, here is a thing. Akshay Kumar will be romancing Miss World Manushi Chillar in 'Prithviraj'. She was born in 1997. At that time, Akshay was doing films like 'Dil Toh Pagal Hai.' Not to mention Manushi and many other actresses like Sara Ali Khan (who will share the screen with him in 'Atrangi Re') were not even born when Akshay made his Bollywood debut in 1991. This list is endless and this harmful trend does not seem to stop anytime soon.
