When Bollywood calls itself the flagbearer Indian cinema, should it represent more cultures?

Bollywood, of course, isn't the only film industry in India. There's a lot of regional industries across areas.

However, Bollywood has become synonymous with Indian cinema. In this case, wouldn't it make sense to have it represent different cultures? It's not necessary to do so, but would obviously add some charm to the overall cinematic experience. And at this point, it could do with being more diverse. Nearly every character in a Bollywood film is from the same region and culture and while it's enjoyable to watch, it gets repetitive after a point. SLB's Bajirao Mastani, Ram-Leela, Devdas, and Shoojit Sircar's Piku were a breath of fresh air.

What do you think?
